Composition
- Active Ingredient: Amlodipine Besylate equivalent to Amlodipine 5 mg
Uses
- Hypertension (high blood pressure)
- Chronic stable angina (chest pain due to heart disease)
- Vasospastic (Prinzmetal’s) angina
Dosage and Administration
- Adults: Typical starting dose is 5 mg once daily. The dose may be increased to a maximum of 10 mg once daily depending on therapeutic response.
- Children (6–17 years): Starting dose is usually 2.5 mg to 5 mg once daily.
- Administration: Can be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water at the same time each day.
