Composition

Uses
SAAZ DS TAB is commonly prescribed for:
- Rheumatoid Arthritis: To reduce inflammation and slow disease progression.
- Ulcerative Colitis: For induction and maintenance of remission.
- Crohn’s Disease: In selected cases, as part of inflammatory bowel disease management.
- Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis: In pediatric patients when indicated.
Dosage and Administration
- Adults:
- Rheumatoid Arthritis: Start with 500 mg once daily, increasing by 500 mg every week to a typical maintenance dose of 2,000–3,000 mg/day in divided doses.
- Ulcerative Colitis: Initial doses may start at 1–2 g/day, increasing to a maintenance dose of 2–4 g/day in divided doses.
- Children (6 years and older):
- Dosage is weight-based and determined by the physician.
- Administration:
- Take after meals with plenty of water to minimize gastrointestinal side effects.
- Do not crush or chew the tablets.
