Uses
- Management and prophylactic treatment of bronchial asthma
- Treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Control of croup and other inflammatory airway diseases in children and adults
Dosage and Administration
- Recommended Dose:
- Children (typically >1 year): 0.25 mg to 0.5 mg (one respule) inhaled via nebulizer once or twice daily as directed by a physician
- Adults: 0.5 mg to 1 mg inhaled via nebulizer once or twice daily
- Administration:
- Use only with a jet nebulizer equipped with an appropriate face mask or mouthpiece.
- Shake the respule before use. Twist off the top and squeeze the contents into the nebulizer cup.
- The solution should be inhaled immediately after opening.
