Frequently Asked Questions

What is CLOP G Cream used for?

CLOP G Cream is a topical medication used to treat various skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, and fungal or bacterial infections. It combines a corticosteroid (clobetasol propionate) with an antifungal (gentamicin) to reduce inflammation, itching, and infection.

How does CLOP G Cream work?

CLOP G Cream contains clobetasol propionate, a potent steroid that reduces inflammation and itching, and gentamicin, an antibiotic that treats bacterial infections. This combination helps to relieve symptoms and control infection at the site of application.

What is the usual dosage and how should it be applied?

Apply a thin layer of CLOP G Cream to the affected area once or twice daily, as directed by your healthcare provider. Wash and dry your hands before and after application. Do not cover the treated area with a bandage unless instructed by your doctor.

What are the possible side effects?

Common side effects include skin irritation, redness, burning, itching, or dryness at the application site. Long-term or excessive use may cause thinning of the skin or other more serious side effects. If you notice severe reactions, stop using the cream and contact your doctor.

Is CLOP G Cream safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

This cream should only be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding if prescribed by a healthcare provider. Use should be limited, and avoid applying on large areas or for prolonged periods. Consult your doctor before use.

Can CLOP G Cream be used with other medications?

Inform your doctor about all other creams or medications you are using, especially other topical products. Some medicines may interact, increasing the risk of side effects or reducing effectiveness.

What precautions should be taken while using CLOP G Cream?

  • Avoid using on broken skin, open wounds, or near the eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes.
  • Do not use for longer than prescribed.
  • Not recommended for use in children unless advised by a doctor.
  • Do not use for acne, rosacea, or viral infections like herpes.

What should I do if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose—do not apply extra to make up for it.

How should CLOP G Cream be stored?

Store the cream at room temperature, away from direct heat and light. Keep out of reach of children and do not freeze.

When should I seek medical attention?

Seek medical attention if you experience severe allergic reactions, signs of skin infection worsening, or if your condition does not improve after regular use as prescribed.
