Composition:

  • Active Ingredients: Sodium Hyaluronate (0.18% w/v) or Hyaluronic Acid (0.18% w/v)

Uses: Soha Liquigel is an ophthalmic lubricant primarily used for the effective treatment of dry eyes. It provides relief from symptoms such as soreness, irritation, and discomfort caused by eye dryness. It is also prescribed for post-operative dry eyes and corneal burns. Dosage and Administration: Soha Liquigel is for external ophthalmic use only. It should be instilled as advised by a physician.

  • Wash hands thoroughly before and after use.
  • Tilt the head back, gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a sac, squeeze the bottle to place the prescribed number of drops into the sac, and then blink to spread the medicine across the eye surface.

  • If wearing contact lenses, remove them before application and wait for at least 15 minutes before reinserting.

Side Effects: Common side effects are usually temporary and may include:

  • Temporary blurred vision
  • Eye irritation or discomfort
  • Eye redness
  • Sensitivity to light (photophobia) Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and generally resolve over time. Consult a doctor if any side effects persist or worsen.

Precautions:

  • Do not use if you are allergic to any of its contents.
  • Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye, to prevent contamination.
  • Do not use the bottle if the seal is broken, the solution changes color, or becomes cloudy.
  • Avoid driving or operating machinery immediately after use, as it may cause temporary blurred vision.
  • Individuals with narrow-angle glaucoma should not use this medicine.
  • If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach and sight of children. The recommended storage temperature is between 10ºC to 25ºC or below 30ºC.

Frequently Asked Questions

SOHA LIQUIGEL 10 ML by SUN PHARMA LABORATORIES LTD. is an ophthalmic lubricant primarily used for the management of various dry eye conditions.

What is Soha Liquigel used for?

Soha Liquigel is primarily used to treat dry eyes, providing relief from symptoms such as soreness, irritation, burning sensation, and discomfort caused by insufficient natural tears. It is also effective for post-operative dry eyes and in aiding the healing of corneal burns by forming a soothing, protective layer.

How does Soha Liquigel work?

Soha Liquigel contains Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic acid), which acts as artificial tears. It works by making the lubricating contents of the eye more viscous, thereby creating an intensive, soothing, and moisturizing film over the eye. This action helps stabilize the natural tear film, reduces tear evaporation, and protects the ocular surface, alleviating dryness and discomfort.

What is the usual dosage of Soha Liquigel?

Soha Liquigel is typically instilled as needed or as advised by your doctor. Your doctor will determine the correct dose and duration based on your age and the severity of your condition. It is generally recommended to use it according to the dosage and duration instructed by your doctor.

What are the possible side effects of Soha Liquigel?

Common side effects of Soha Liquigel may include temporary blurred vision, swelling of the eyelids, eye redness or discomfort, irritation, and increased sensitivity of the eyes to light. These effects usually resolve on their own over time. If side effects persist or worsen, it is advisable to consult your doctor.

Is Soha Liquigel safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Soha Liquigel is generally considered safe for use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects, though human studies are limited. It is also considered probably safe to use during breastfeeding, as limited human data suggests it does not pose a significant risk to the baby. However, it is always recommended to consult your healthcare provider before using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Can Soha Liquigel be taken with other medications?

If you need to use other eye medications, it is important to wait for at least 5-10 minutes between administering Soha Liquigel and any other eye drops to prevent dilution. Since Soha Liquigel Eye Drop is for external use, it is less likely to interact with other systemic medicines, but you should still inform your doctor about all current medications.

What precautions should be taken?

Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the drops, and avoid touching the dropper tip to prevent eye infection. Do not use the product if the seal is broken, the solution changes color, or becomes cloudy. Soha Liquigel may cause temporary blurred vision, so refrain from driving or operating machinery until your vision is clear. Individuals with narrow-angle glaucoma should avoid using this medication. If you wear soft contact lenses, it is usually advised to remove them before applying the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them, or follow your doctor's specific instructions.

What happens if a dose is missed?

If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.

How should it be stored?

Soha Liquigel should be stored in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight, ideally between 10°C to 25°C or below 30°C. Keep it out of the reach and sight of children and pets.
