It targets the discomfort of menstrual cramps and related symptoms. It can also be used for other types of pain such as headaches and general body aches. Paracetamol acts as a pain reliever and fever reducer, while Hyoscine Butylbromide is an antispasmodic that relaxes muscles, particularly in the abdomen and uterus, to reduce cramps.

Frequently asked questions

What is Saridon Woman Tablet used for?

Saridon Woman Tablet is a medication specifically formulated to provide fast relief from pain experienced by women, primarily associated with menstruation. This includes menstrual cramps, abdominal pain, headaches, and general body aches that often accompany periods. It can also be used for other types of pain such as headaches, toothaches, and muscle aches.

How does Saridon Woman Tablet work?

Saridon Woman Tablet works through a combination of two active ingredients: Paracetamol (500 mg) and Hyoscine Butylbromide (10 mg). Paracetamol acts as a pain reliever and fever reducer by blocking the production of prostaglandins, chemicals that cause pain and inflammation. Hyoscine Butylbromide is an antispasmodic that helps to relax muscles, particularly those in the abdomen and uterus, thereby reducing menstrual cramps and spasms.

What is the usual dosage for Saridon Woman Tablet?

For individuals aged 12 years and above, the recommended dosage is typically 1-2 tablets, up to three times a day, or as directed by a physician. It is important not to exceed 6 tablets per day and to avoid taking it for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor. The tablets should be swallowed with water, with or without food.

What are the possible side effects of Saridon Woman Tablet?

Possible side effects include nausea, stomach upset, drowsiness, dry mouth, skin rash, and constipation. Other reported side effects can include abdominal pain, restlessness, nervousness, loss of appetite, sleep disorders, insomnia, diarrhea, swelling of the face, allergic reactions, and heart palpitations. If you experience any severe or persistent side effects, it is advisable to consult a doctor.

Is Saridon Woman Tablet safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

There is limited information available regarding the safe usage of Saridon Woman Tablet during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is strongly advised to consult your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. A doctor will assess the benefits against any potential risks before recommending its use.

Can Saridon Woman Tablet be taken with other medications?

You should inform your doctor about all other medications you are currently taking, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, and herbal supplements. Saridon Woman, like other paracetamol-containing medicines, should be used with caution to avoid exceeding the recommended dosage of paracetamol, which can increase the risk of liver damage. General Saridon (which contains paracetamol) can interact with blood thinners like warfarin, certain anti-inflammatory drugs, stimulants, sedatives, and caffeine-containing products.

What precautions should be taken when using Saridon Woman Tablet?

Before using Saridon Woman Tablet, consult a doctor, especially if you have any underlying health conditions or are taking other medications. Follow the dosage instructions carefully and do not exceed the recommended dose. This medicine is intended for temporary relief and not for long-term use. It is not recommended for children below 12 years of age. Individuals with kidney or liver problems, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, chronic headaches, asthma, chronic rhinitis, or chronic urticaria should use it with caution and under medical supervision. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medicine and limit your intake of other caffeine-containing products.

What happens if a dose of Saridon Woman Tablet is missed?

If you miss a dose and still experience pain, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

How should Saridon Woman Tablet be stored?

Saridon Woman Tablet should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. It is important to keep the medicine in its original packaging and out of reach of children and pets to prevent accidental ingestion.
