Description

Name: Minoz Gel

Composition: Minoz Gel contains Minocycline 40mg as its active ingredient. Minocycline belongs to the tetracycline class of antibiotics.

Uses: Minoz Gel is prescribed for the treatment of severe acne vulgaris, characterized by pimples, and rosacea, which involves redness and visible blood vessels on the face. It is effective against inflammatory lesions of non-nodular moderate to severe acne vulgaris. Minocycline works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping bacterial growth and preventing the multiplication of bacteria responsible for these skin conditions.

Dosage and Administration: This medicine is for external use only. Minoz Gel should be applied as directed by a doctor, typically once or twice daily, depending on the severity of the condition. A thin layer of the gel should be applied to the affected area and gently massaged into the skin until absorbed. Hands should be washed after use. Avoid contact with eyes, eyelids, lips, mouth, and nose.

Side Effects: Common side effects may include dryness, peeling, burning or stinging sensations, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. These usually resolve over time.

Precautions: Do not use Minoz Gel if you are allergic to it or its components. Patients with liver, kidney, or heart diseases should inform their doctor before use. This medicine can increase skin sensitivity to sunlight; therefore, it is advised to use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors, and to avoid tanning booths and sunlamps. Do not apply to mucous membranes, lesions, or large areas of skin. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor. It is recommended for pediatric patients nine years of age and older.

Storage: Minoz Gel should be stored in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep it out of sight and reach of children. The recommended storage temperature is between 10ºC and 25ºC or below 30ºC.
