- Tilt your head back, gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket, and instill the prescribed number of drops.
- Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye, eyelids, or any other surface to prevent contamination.
- Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes after application.
- If using other eye medications, wait at least 5-10 minutes (or 15 minutes) between applications to avoid dilution.

Frequently asked questions
What is Hyane Eye Drop used for?
Hyane Eye Drop is primarily used for the treatment of dry eyes, providing relief from discomfort, soreness, irritation, burning, and a gritty sensation. It is also beneficial for post-operative dry eyes, irritation caused by environmental factors like wind, dust, and prolonged screen time, and to aid in healing corneal burns or abrasions.
How does Hyane Eye Drop work?
Hyane Eye Drop contains Sodium Hyaluronate, which acts as an ophthalmic viscoelastic agent. It works by mimicking natural tears, forming a protective, soothing, and moisturizing layer over the eye's surface. This helps to lubricate the eyes, alleviate dryness and irritation, reduce friction during blinking, stabilize the natural tear film, and protect the cornea from further damage.
What is the usual dosage for Hyane Eye Drop?
The dosage should be used exactly as advised by your doctor. Generally, 1-2 drops are instilled into the affected eye as needed, typically 3-4 times a day. Some sources suggest it can be used up to 5-6 times daily or more frequently if advised by a doctor based on the eye condition.
What are the possible side effects of Hyane Eye Drop?
Common side effects are usually mild and temporary, including blurred vision (which usually clears quickly), redness, irritation in the eye, sensitivity to light, watery eyes, eye pain, and occasionally swelling of the eyelids or matting/stickiness of eyelashes. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, it is advisable to consult your doctor.
Is Hyane Eye Drop safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Hyane Eye Drop is generally considered safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, it is always recommended to consult your doctor for advice before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Can Hyane Eye Drop be taken with other medications?
Hyane Eye Drop is less likely to interact with other medications since it is used externally on the eyes. If you are using other eye drops or ointments, it is recommended to wait at least 5 to 15 minutes between applications to prevent dilution or interaction of the medications. Hyane Eye Drop is compatible with contact lenses; however, if you have a recent eye injury, consult your doctor about wearing contact lenses.
What precautions should be taken while using Hyane Eye Drop?
Always wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the drops. Avoid touching the tip of the dropper to your eye, eyelid, or any other surface to prevent contamination. If you wear contact lenses, it is usually recommended to remove them before applying the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them. After instilling the drops, blink several times to spread the medication evenly. If you experience blurred vision, avoid driving or operating machinery until your vision is clear. Do not use the bottle if the seal is broken, or if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy. Inform your doctor if you have conditions like narrow-angle glaucoma.
What happens if a dose of Hyane Eye Drop is missed?
If you miss a dose, instill it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to compensate for a missed application.
How should Hyane Eye Drop be stored?
Hyane Eye Drop should be stored in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight, and out of the reach of children. It is generally recommended to store it below 30°C. Once opened, the bottle typically has a limited usage period (e.g., 90 days or four weeks for some eye drops) to reduce the risk of eye infections; always check the specific instructions on the label.
