Frequently asked questions

What is Flogel HA Eye Drop used for?

Flogel HA Eye Drop is primarily used for the treatment of dry eyes, providing relief from symptoms such as soreness, irritation, and a gritty sensation. It is also beneficial for irritation caused by environmental factors, prolonged computer use, contact lens wear, and to aid in the healing process after eye surgeries or corneal burns.

How does Flogel HA Eye Drop work?

The active ingredient in Flogel HA Eye Drop is Sodium Hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid), which is a natural component of the tear film. It works by moistening, soothing, and lubricating the surface of the eye. This increases the stability of the tear film, reduces moisture evaporation, forms a protective layer, and can accelerate the healing of corneal wounds.

What is the usual dosage of Flogel HA Eye Drop?

It is generally recommended to instill 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed or as directed by your physician or ophthalmologist. The dosage may be adjusted based on the patient's symptoms.

What are the possible side effects of Flogel HA Eye Drop?

Common side effects can include temporary blurred vision immediately after instillation, minor irritation, a burning sensation, itching, eye pain, redness, conjunctivitis, or eye discharge. These effects are usually mild and temporary. If any side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.

Is Flogel HA Eye Drop safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Flogel HA Eye Drop is generally considered safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding if prescribed by a doctor. However, it is always advisable to consult your doctor before using any medication during these periods to ensure it is appropriate for your specific situation.

Can Flogel HA Eye Drop be taken with other medications?

There are no known drug interactions with Flogel HA Eye Drop. However, if you are using other ophthalmic medications, it is recommended to wait at least 5-10 minutes between applying Flogel HA Eye Drop and any other eye drops to prevent dilution of the effects. Do not use it at the exact same time as other eye products.

What precautions should be taken when using Flogel HA Eye Drop?

  • Avoid touching the tip of the dropper to your eye, eyelids, or any other surface to prevent contamination of the solution.
  • If you wear contact lenses, remove them before instilling the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them, especially if the drops contain a preservative.
  • Since temporary blurred vision can occur, avoid driving or operating machinery until your vision clears.
  • This eye drop is for external ophthalmic use only and should not be injected.
  • Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to Sodium Hyaluronate or any other ingredients in the product.
  • Consult your doctor if your dry eye symptoms do not improve within a few days of use.
  • It is not recommended for individuals with narrow-angle glaucoma.

What happens if a dose of Flogel HA Eye Drop is missed?

If you miss a dose, instill it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not apply extra drops to compensate for a missed dose.

How should Flogel HA Eye Drop be stored?

Flogel HA Eye Drop should be stored in a cool, dry place, typically below 30°C. Protect it from direct sunlight and moisture, and do not freeze it. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use and out of the reach of children. After opening, use the solution within one month and discard any remaining product to reduce the risk of eye infection.
