Regular monitoring of testosterone levels, prostate-specific antigen (PSA), haematocrit, haemoglobin, and liver function is recommended.

Sustanon 250 Injection should be stored at or below 30°C. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Keep it in the original box to protect it from light and out of reach and sight of children. Once an ampoule is opened, the solution should be used immediately as it cannot be resealed to guarantee sterility.
Frequently asked questions
Here are some frequently asked questions and answers about Sustanon 250 mg Injection:
What is Sustanon 250 mg Injection used for?
Sustanon 250 mg Injection is primarily used for testosterone replacement therapy in adult males with confirmed testosterone deficiency, a condition known as male hypogonadism. It helps to alleviate symptoms such as low sex drive, erectile dysfunction, fatigue, depressive moods, and loss of bone mass or muscle mass. It can also be used as supportive therapy for masculinization in female-to-male transsexuals and in cases of delayed puberty in boys.
How does Sustanon 250 mg Injection work?
Sustanon 250 mg Injection contains a blend of four different testosterone esters: testosterone propionate, testosterone phenylpropionate, testosterone isocaproate, and testosterone decanoate. These esters are gradually converted into natural testosterone by the body. This unique combination provides both an immediate and sustained release of testosterone into the bloodstream, helping to restore and maintain healthy testosterone levels and hormonal balance.
What is the usual dosage of Sustanon 250 mg Injection?
The standard dosage for Sustanon 250 mg Injection is typically one 1 mL injection every three weeks. The injection is administered deeply into a muscle, such as the buttock, upper leg, or upper arm, by a doctor or nurse. Your doctor will adjust the dosage based on your individual testosterone levels and medical needs.
What are the possible side effects of Sustanon 250 mg Injection?
Common side effects can include pain at the injection site, itching, acne, nausea, muscle pain, increased weight, high blood pressure, changes in sexual desire (libido), disturbed sperm formation (which can affect fertility in men), breast enlargement in men (gynecomastia), and fluid retention (swelling of ankles and feet). Other less common side effects may include changes in cholesterol levels, liver function tests, and mood disturbances.
Serious side effects, though rare, can include severe mood changes, signs of an allergic reaction, yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice), a prolonged and painful erection, growth of undetected prostate cancer, or symptoms resembling a blood clot (e.g., coughing, chest pain, feeling faint, pain, swelling, redness in an affected area). If you experience any serious side effects, seek immediate medical attention.
Is Sustanon 250 mg Injection safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
No, Sustanon 250 mg Injection is contraindicated and must not be used by women who are pregnant, think they may be pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Its use during pregnancy carries a risk of virilization (development of male characteristics) in the fetus. There is also insufficient data to confirm its safe use during lactation.
Can Sustanon 250 mg Injection be taken with other medications?
Sustanon 250 mg Injection can interact with certain other medications. It may enhance the effects of anticoagulants (blood thinners like warfarin), requiring close monitoring and potential dose adjustments. It can also affect blood sugar levels, meaning diabetic patients using insulin or other anti-diabetic medicines may need their dosage adjusted. Concurrent use with ACTH or corticosteroids may increase the risk of fluid retention. Always inform your doctor or pharmacist about all other medicines, supplements, or herbal remedies you are taking.
What precautions should be taken with Sustanon 250 mg Injection?
Before starting treatment, inform your doctor about any existing medical conditions, especially prostate cancer or breast cancer, heart, liver, or kidney problems, diabetes, epilepsy, migraine, or sleep apnea. Regular monitoring by your doctor is essential and will include blood tests to check testosterone levels, red blood cell count, prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels, and liver function. Sustanon 250 contains arachis (peanut) oil and benzyl alcohol, so it should not be used if you have a peanut or soya allergy. It is also not suitable for children under 3 years old due to the benzyl alcohol content.
What happens if a dose of Sustanon 250 mg Injection is missed?
If you miss a scheduled injection, you should contact your doctor or nurse as soon as possible to reschedule. It is important not to inject a double dose to compensate for the missed one. Your healthcare professional will guide you on how to proceed.
How should Sustanon 250 mg Injection be stored?
Sustanon 250 mg Injection should be stored in its original box in a safe place, out of the reach and sight of children. Keep it in a cool, dark place where the temperature stays below 30°C. Do not refrigerate or freeze the medicine, as this can make the oily solution difficult to inject. Once an ampoule is opened, the solution should be used immediately because it cannot be resealed in a way that guarantees sterility.
