Description
EDSAVE TABLET (10 TAB) by FOURRTS (INDIA) LABORATORIES PVT. LIMITED
EDSAVE Tablet is a prescription medication primarily used to address various medical conditions in men.
Composition Each tablet contains Tadalafil 5 mg as its active ingredient. Tadalafil belongs to a class of medicines known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors.
Uses EDSAVE Tablet is prescribed for:
- Erectile Dysfunction (ED): It helps men achieve and maintain an erection by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation.
- Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): It alleviates symptoms of an enlarged prostate, such as difficulty in urination and frequent or urgent need to urinate, by relaxing bladder and prostate muscles.
- Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH): It is used to treat high blood pressure in the lungs by relaxing blood vessels in the chest, which enhances blood supply to the lungs and reduces the heart's workload.
Dosage and Administration

- For erectile dysfunction, it is usually taken at least 30-60 minutes before sexual activity.

Frequently asked questions
What is EDSAVE TABLET used for?
EDSAVE TABLET, which contains Tadalafil, is primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men, helping to achieve and maintain an erection during sexual activity. It is also prescribed for the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), an enlarged prostate, by relaxing bladder and prostate muscles to improve urination. Additionally, it can be used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a type of high blood pressure in the lungs, by relaxing blood vessels in the chest to increase blood supply to the lungs and decrease the heart's workload.
How does EDSAVE TABLET work?
EDSAVE TABLET belongs to a class of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Its active ingredient, Tadalafil, works by relaxing blood vessels. In the penis, this allows increased blood flow when a person is sexually stimulated, aiding in an erection. For benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), it relaxes the smooth muscles in the bladder and prostate gland, improving urine flow and reducing associated symptoms. In pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), it relaxes blood vessels in the lungs, reducing blood pressure and improving blood flow.
What is the usual dosage for EDSAVE TABLET?
The usual dosage of EDSAVE TABLET is typically 5mg, taken once a day, or as prescribed by your doctor. For erectile dysfunction, it is often recommended to take it at least 30 minutes to an hour before sexual activity, as it will only help achieve an erection with sexual stimulation. It is important not to exceed one dose within a 24-hour period.
What are the possible side effects of EDSAVE TABLET?
Common side effects may include headache, back pain, muscle pain, pain in the legs and arms, nasal congestion, indigestion, and facial flushing. Most of these usually resolve over time. Less common but more serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include a prolonged or painful erection (priapism lasting more than 4 hours), sudden decrease or loss of vision, sudden decrease or loss of hearing, or chest pain.
Is EDSAVE TABLET safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
EDSAVE TABLET is not recommended for use in women, including during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as its safety and effectiveness have not been established.
Can EDSAVE TABLET be taken with other medications?
EDSAVE TABLET can interact with several medications. It should not be taken with nitrates (often used for chest pain/angina), riociguat (for pulmonary hypertension), or certain alpha-blockers, as this can lead to a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Caution is also advised when taken with certain antifungals (like ketoconazole, itraconazole), HIV medications (protease inhibitors like ritonavir), some antibiotics (erythromycin, clarithromycin), and other blood pressure-lowering medications. Always inform your doctor about all medicines, supplements, or herbal products you are taking to avoid potential interactions.
What precautions should be taken while using EDSAVE TABLET?
Avoid consuming alcohol while taking EDSAVE TABLET, as it can increase dizziness and lower blood pressure. Grapefruit juice should also be avoided as it may increase the risk of side effects. Use with caution if you have a history of heart problems, liver or kidney disease, low or uncontrolled high blood pressure, or a recent history of stroke or heart attack. If you experience dizziness or blurred vision, do not drive or operate machinery. EDSAVE TABLET is not for use in children.
What happens if a dose of EDSAVE TABLET is missed?
If you miss a dose of EDSAVE TABLET, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.
How should EDSAVE TABLET be stored?
EDSAVE TABLET should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat. It should be kept out of the sight and reach of children, typically at temperatures between 10ºC and 25ºC or below 30ºC.
