NAZOMAC PLUS SPRAY

NAZOMAC PLUS SPRAY is a nasal spray manufactured by Macleods Pharmaceuticals Ltd., designed to provide relief from various allergic symptoms.

Composition

NAZOMAC PLUS SPRAY contains a combination of two active ingredients:

  • Fluticasone Furoate (27.5mcg): A corticosteroid that reduces inflammation within the nasal passages by blocking the release of certain chemicals in the body responsible for inflammatory reactions.
  • Azelastine (140mcg): An antihistamine/antiallergic that works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance that causes allergic reactions. This combination works synergistically to alleviate allergic rhinitis symptoms and provide lasting relief.

Uses

NAZOMAC PLUS SPRAY is primarily used to treat allergic symptoms such as:

  • Sneezing
  • Runny nose
  • Nasal congestion and stuffy nose
  • Watery eyes It is effective in managing both seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis. NAZOMAC PLUS SPRAY is not indicated for the treatment of asthma attacks.

Dosage and Administration

Use NAZOMAC PLUS SPRAY strictly as advised by your doctor, and do not exceed the prescribed dose or duration.

  1. Gently shake the bottle before each use.
  2. Gently blow your nose before using the spray.
  3. If the spray is new or hasn't been used for a while, prime it by spraying into the air away from your face until a fine mist appears.
  4. Close one nostril with a finger. Insert the nozzle into the other nostril, directing the spray towards the sides of the nostril, away from the cartilage in the middle of the nose.
  5. Breathe gently while squeezing the bottle to release the spray, keeping your head upright.
  6. Repeat the process for the other nostril. Avoid deep breathing, as this may cause the medication to go back to the throat, reducing its effectiveness.
