Uses This medicine is prescribed for the management of allergic eye diseases. It provides temporary relief from symptoms such as redness, swelling, burning, discomfort, pain, itching, and irritation in the eyes. It can also help with tearing and photophobia (light sensitivity), and control hyperemia of the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva caused by environmental factors like dust, smoke, sun glare, ragweed, pollen, grass, animal hair, and dander.
Dosage and Administration For ophthalmic use only. The typical dosage involves instilling 1-2 drops into the affected eye(s) 2-3 times daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Patients should wash their hands before application and avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any other surface to prevent contamination. After instillation, close the eyes gently for 1-2 minutes without blinking or rubbing. Do not exceed four applications per day.
Side Effects Common side effects include eye irritation, stinging sensation, blurred vision, eye pain, ocular hyperemia (redness), and light sensitivity (photophobia). Pupil dilation may also occur. If these effects persist or worsen, or if rebound congestion occurs with extended use, medical consultation is advised.
