Frequently asked questions
What is OLESOFT MAX CREAM used for?
OLESOFT MAX CREAM is an emollient and moisturizing cream primarily used to treat dry skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and chapped skin. It helps to relieve dryness, redness, inflammation, itching, and irritation, and can also be used for general skin hydration and protection.
How does OLESOFT MAX CREAM work?
The cream contains active ingredients such as liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin. These ingredients work as emollients to form a protective oily layer on the skin's surface. This barrier helps to prevent water loss from the outer layer of the skin, thereby locking in moisture and keeping the skin hydrated, soft, and supple.
What is the usual dosage and application?
Apply a thin layer of OLESOFT MAX CREAM to the affected area and gently massage it into the skin. It is generally advised to apply the cream to clean, dry skin, typically one to three times daily, or as directed by your healthcare provider.
What are the possible side effects of OLESOFT MAX CREAM?
Common side effects may include redness, irritation, itching, burning, stinging, or sensitization at the application site. In some cases, dryness may occur. Allergic reactions such as rash, hives, or swelling are possible, though rare. If side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.
Is OLESOFT MAX CREAM safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
During pregnancy, it is generally considered safe to use, but it is advisable to consult your doctor, who will assess the benefits against potential risks. For breastfeeding mothers, OLESOFT MAX CREAM is considered safe for use, but it is important to avoid applying it to the breast area if nursing, and consulting a doctor is recommended.
Can OLESOFT MAX CREAM be taken with other medications?
There are no significant drug interactions known when OLESOFT MAX CREAM is used topically. However, it is always recommended to inform your doctor about all other medications, including over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements, that you are using.
What precautions should be taken while using OLESOFT MAX CREAM?
This cream is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and do not apply it to deep wounds, blisters, severe burns, or large areas of skin. Do not use the cream if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. A serious fire hazard exists if fabrics (such as bedding, clothing, or dressings) come into contact with the cream, as they can burn more easily. For children, especially those under three years, consult a healthcare provider for appropriate usage. A patch test is recommended for individuals with sensitive skin before widespread application.
What happens if a dose of OLESOFT MAX CREAM is missed?
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular application schedule. Do not apply a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
How should OLESOFT MAX CREAM be stored?
OLESOFT MAX CREAM should be stored at room temperature, typically below 25°C or 30°C, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use and store it out of the sight and reach of children. Do not freeze the cream.
