EBERNEXT CREAM by CUTIS BIOTECH

Ebernext Cream is an antifungal medication designed for topical application to treat various fungal skin infections. It is also sometimes referred to as Ebernet Cream.

  • Composition Ebernext Cream contains Eberconazole (1.0% w/w) as its active ingredient. Eberconazole works by destroying the fungal cell membrane, which inhibits the growth and reproduction of fungi, thereby clearing the infection.

  • Uses Ebernext Cream is prescribed for a range of fungal skin infections, including:

    • Ringworm (Tinea Corporis)
    • Athlete's foot (Tinea Pedis)
    • Jock itch (Tinea Cruris)
    • Fungal nappy rash
    • Fungal sweat rash
    • Pityriasis Versicolor
    • Seborrheic Dermatitis
    • Candidiasis and other yeast infections
    • Infections of the fingernails and toenails. It helps relieve symptoms such as itching, redness, scaling, cracking, and burning.
  • Dosage and Administration Ebernext Cream is for external use only.

    • Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly before application.
    • Apply a thin layer of cream over the infected area and the surrounding skin, usually once or twice daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional.
    • Gently massage the cream into the skin.
    • Wash hands thoroughly before and after applying the cream, unless the hands are the area being treated.
    • It is crucial to complete the full course of treatment, even if symptoms improve earlier, to prevent the infection from returning. If the condition does not improve after 2 to 4 weeks, consult your doctor.
  • Side Effects Common side effects may include:

    • Skin irritation, redness, or itching at the application site.
    • Mild burning or stinging sensation.
    • Dryness or peeling of the skin. These side effects are usually temporary; however, if they persist or worsen, medical advice should be sought. Serious side effects are rare but may include signs of an allergic reaction or congestive heart failure, such as rash, swelling of the lips/throat/face, difficulty breathing, dizziness, faintness, or nausea. Discontinue use and seek immediate medical attention if these occur.
  • Precautions

    • Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, mucous membranes, nose, and open wounds. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
    • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as its use during these periods should be under medical guidance.
    • Not recommended for children under 16 years of age without a doctor's consultation.
    • Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking, especially if you have recently used a steroid-containing medication or have had allergic reactions to other antifungals.
    • For athlete's foot, maintain good hygiene by washing socks or tights thoroughly and changing shoes daily to prevent reinfection.
  • Storage Store Ebernext Cream in a cool and dry place, ideally below 25°C or 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Frequently asked questions

Ebernext Cream by Cutis Biotech is an antifungal medication primarily used for various fungal skin infections. Below are some frequently asked questions about this medicine.

What is Ebernext Cream used for?

Ebernext Cream is an antifungal medicine used to treat a variety of fungal skin infections. These include conditions such as ringworm, athlete's foot (tinea pedis), jock itch (tinea cruris), fungal nappy rash, fungal sweat rash, and fungal infections affecting the fingernails and toenails.

How does Ebernext Cream work?

Ebernext Cream contains Eberconazole (1.0% w/w) as its active ingredient. It works by inhibiting the growth of fungus. This action effectively kills the fungi causing the infection.

How should I use Ebernext Cream and what is the usual dosage?

Ebernext Cream is for external use only. You should clean and thoroughly dry the affected area before applying the cream. Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected skin as directed by your doctor. The specific dosage and duration of treatment will be prescribed by your healthcare provider. After application, wash your hands thoroughly, unless your hands are the affected area.

What are the possible side effects of Ebernext Cream?

Common side effects associated with Ebernext Cream are usually mild and temporary, occurring at the application site. These may include burning, irritation, itching, or redness. Information regarding its use during breastfeeding is limited, and consulting a healthcare provider is advised before use.
