What is MAXILIV INJ used for?

MAXILIV INJ is primarily used to treat various liver conditions, including alcoholic fatty liver, alcoholic liver fibrosis, alcoholic liver cirrhosis, and alcoholic hepatitis. Some sources also mention its use for improving skin complexion.

How does MAXILIV INJ work?

For liver conditions, the typical dosage is 300 mg to 600 mg once daily, administered by slow intramuscular or intravenous injection. For moderate COVID-19 patients, as an add-on to standard care, a loading dose of 4 vials (600 mg each) is followed by a maintenance dose of 2 vials (600 mg each) every 12 hours for a maximum of 7 days or until clinical improvement. If you experience unusual symptoms such as a pale face, low blood pressure, or difficulty breathing, seek immediate medical attention.

Is MAXILIV INJ safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

MAXILIV INJ is generally not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women unless the doctor determines that the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Moderate side effects have been reported during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so it is crucial to consult your doctor before use.
